Super Heroes to the RESCUE

Here are the following Contest winners from each classroom! Great job today guys on all the many costumes!!!!

We got prepared today for the 5th grade PASS test that will be next week. Students rotated to different stations going through the writing rubric- Content and Development, Organization, Voice and Conventions. My station was Conventions. I used the method of COPS. My student teacher and I, Miss Guthrie, dressed as police officers to get our idea across. The teachers (Mrs. Bracken and Miss Guthrie) were missing and they had to investigate several sentences by correcting the mistakes to get clues to where Mrs. Bracken and Miss Guthrie were. C-Capital letters, O-Organization, P-Punctuation, S- Spelling/Does it make sense.

Here are some pictures from our day! The students were dressed as super heroes to go along with the topic they just wrote on where they had to create a super hero and his powers. Students definitely had to put their powers to the test today to help investigate the crime scene.
